I love making bags! This bag was inspired by the pattern "Ember Crossbody Bag" by the designer, MrsH. I attended one of MrsH's courses a couple of years ago and learnt so much about bag construction. There is so much to consider - not just the exterior fabric, but the lining, the fittings (strap rings, zips and so on) and the all - important interfacing. Interfacing gives a bag structure and form and a professional finish.

Full description
This lavender pattern fabric shoulder bag with removable strap is entirely handmade. Constructed from purple lavender 100% cotton print, with plain light purple coloured cotton lining.
The shoulder strap is purple and white cotton webbing and is adjustable so that the bag may be worn on the shoulder or across the body. The strap may also be removed.
All of the bag hardware - strap slider, claw hooks, rectangle rings, zips and zip pulls and magnetic snap - are rainbow coloured metal.
On the front of the bag there is a full width zipped pocket and on the reverse of the bag there is a deep slip pocket with magnetic snap closure.
A full width zip closes the top of the bag and the bottom of the bag is reinforced and has box corners.
The bag interior is fully lined and there is a further zipped pocket and a deep slip pocket.
This bag measures 11" (28cm) high by 11" (28cm) wide by 3" (7.6cm) deep.
