I love making bags! This bag was inspired by the pattern "Classic Handbag" by the designer, MrsH. I attended one of MrsH's courses a couple of years ago and learnt so much about bag construction. There is so much to consider - not just the exterior fabric, but the lining, the fittings (strap rings, zips and so on) and the all - important interfacing. Interfacing gives a bag structure and form and a professional finish.

A lovely handmade metallic fabric handbag, perfect for any function or for everyday use.
I've used a lovely metallic floral design Japanese fabric for the exterior of this bag and a co-ordinating plain teal coloured fabric for the interior. All fabrics are 100% cotton. I've sewn in a layer of bag foam and medium weight interfacing to give the bag stability and shape.
The top zip is gold coloured nylon with a metal zip pull and the strap is attached with matching gold coloured strap rings. There are double slip pockets on both outsides of the bag and these are edged with matching zip teeth for decorative effect. I've also added my signature Four Seasons By Michele badge on one side. There are also 5 matching bag feet on the base to protect the bag surface.
On opening the top zip you will see the bright interior, with a zipped pocket and two slip pockets.
This bag measures 12" (30.5cm) wide by 2.5" (6cm) deep by 8" (20cm) high.
