I love making bags! This bag is to my own pattern and design.
I attended a bag making course a couple of years ago and learnt so much about bag construction. There is a lot to consider - not just the exterior fabric, but the lining, the fittings (magnetic snaps, etc ) and the all - important interfacing. Interfacing gives a bag structure and form and a professional finish.

Full description
Purple and Pink handmade patchwork tote bag, made scrappy style with patterned and plain patches. All fabrics are 100% cotton and this bag is fully lined, with exterior and interior zipped pockets and a magnetic snap closure.
This bag is truly unique, one of a kind! There is only one available.
The base, handles and inside top of the bag are made from pale purple coloured linen and I've quilted the base to add a nice texture, with box corners which enable the bag to stand up on its' own.
On the front panel of the bag you'll find a stripy zip with feature dark grey metal zip pull. This opens up a roomy pocket. Inside the bag you will find a fully lined pink and white striped cotton interior and another zipped pocket. There is also a dark grey coloured metal magnetic snap to close the top of the bag.
The bag measures 12" (30cm) high plus the length of the handles, which are 11" (28cm) long. It is 15" (38cm) wide and 4.5" (11.5cm) deep.
