I love making cushions!
For me, there's nothing more relaxing than slowly hand stitching a design onto fabric.
Sashiko designs are so varied and interesting to stitch and I hope that you like the result!

Full description
Japanese Dragonflies design hand embroidered decorative cushion with a highly detailed front panel and envelope style back panel. The design and embroidery are in the traditional Japanese Sashiko design.
The cushion cover measures approximately 14.5" (37 cm) square and it is supplied complete with a polyester cushion pad.
I've used a selection of soft cotton threads in shades of purple, pale pink and pale green to embroider the front panel with a decorative dragonfly design. The pale pink and pale green threads have a subtle silver highlight thread winding through them.
I've framed the embroidered panel with multicoloured Japanese cotton print fabric with gold metallic detail and have used the same fabric for the reverse side.
The "envelope" opening facilitates the insertion or removal of the cushion pad.
The cushion cover and cushion pad are both hand washable.
