I love making bags! This bag was inspired by the pattern "Morgan Messenger" by the designer, MrsH. I attended one of MrsH's courses a couple of years ago and learnt so much about bag construction. There is so much to consider - not just the exterior fabric, but the lining, the fittings (strap rings, zips and so on) and the all - important interfacing. Interfacing gives a bag structure and form and a professional finish.

Mid Blue and Gold Messenger Bag with multiple pockets; worn on the shoulder.
Measures 12" (30cm) wide by 9.5" (24cm) high by 2.5" (6.3cm) deep at the top, increasing to 3" (7.6cm) deep at the bottom.
Made with quality 100% cotton fabrics - the main body of the bag is a linen-look petrol blue, the front flap is a blue and gold metallic floral fabric and the interior of the bag is a complementary cream and blue floral fabric. The exterior surfaces and device pocket are padded for a luxurious soft feel as well as strength. All of the zips, magnetic snaps, bag feet and strap sliders are gold coloured quality bag hardware by "Emmaline".
The front flap has an integral zipped pocket and closes with the aid of two magnetic snaps.
On opening the front flap you will see the main body of the bag, which is closed with a top zip complete with feature gold coloured metal zip end.
There is also a padded pocket between the back of the main bag and the underside of the flap.
Inside the bag are a variety of pockets - the device pocket (which comfortably holds a tablet up to the size of 12.1" (30.7cm) screen) is padded and closes securely with a velcro tab.
There is an internal zipped pocket and two expanding cargo pockets in addition to a spacious main interior compartment.
The shoulder strap is securely attached with the aid of rectangular gold coloured metal rings and has a slider ring which enables the strap length to be adjusted as required.
