I love making bags! This bag was inspired by the pattern "Midi Bag" by the designer, MrsH. I attended one of MrsH's courses a couple of years ago and learnt so much about bag construction. There is so much to consider - not just the exterior fabric, but the lining, the fittings (strap rings, zips and so on) and the all - important interfacing. Interfacing gives a bag structure and form and a professional finish.

Full description
Satchel style Postage Stamps fabric shoulder bag. Made with a blue and cream postage stamp print cotton fabric and a co-ordinating cream cotton lining, it features multiple pockets including two front cargo pockets, an internal slip pocket with three compartments and an internal zipped pocket.
The cargo pockets are accessed by lifting the front flap, which has two magnetic snaps, whilst the interior of the bag is accessed by opening the top zip. The shoulder strap is adjustable for length so the bag may be worn either on the shoulder or across the body.
This bag measures 12" (30.5cm) wide by 10" (25.5cm) high by 4" (10cm) deep. The shoulder strap can be extended from a minimum of 26" (66cm) to a maximum of 49" (124cm). All of the bag hardware - top zip, zip pull and end, strap rings, strap slider and magnetic snaps - are gold coloured metal. I've also added my branded polished yew button to the front flap.
Perfect for days out, commuting, holidays or perhaps as a gift for someone who enjoys travelling or even collecting stamps!
