I love making bags! This bag was inspired by the pattern "Retro Sling" by the designer, Sew Modern Bags. I attended a bag making course a couple of years ago and learnt so much about bag construction. There is so much to consider - not just the exterior fabric, but the lining, the fittings (strap rings, zips and so on) and the all - important interfacing. Interfacing gives a bag structure and form and a professional finish.

Full description
Tapestry Llamas fabric Sling bag with lots of pockets and useful features. Entirely handmade by me.
Measures 7" (18cm) wide x 14" (35.5cm) high x 3" (7.5cm) deep. The strap is adjustable in length from 34" (86cm) to 52" (132cm).
This fantastic and fun bag can be worn across either shoulder - the main body of the bag has strap anchors on each side so that the green webbing strap can be attached with a claw hook to the side of your choice.
There is a zipped pocket in the front panel, plus a further full width zipped pocket in the back panel. The front panel of the bag folds down to reveal another deep pocket and it is held closed with an easily accessible claw hook, which can be attached to one or two D-rings depending on how much you are storing in the front pocket.
The main body of the bag zips open and inside you'll find a beige cotton fully lined interior with feature dark brown soft binding and a soft mesh pocket - perfect for storing a water bottle.
Lightweight and unique, this lovely Sling Bag will be a perfect companion for your walks and adventures!
