I love making bags! This bag is to my own pattern and design.
I attended a bag making course a couple of years ago and learnt so much about bag construction. There is a lot to consider - not just the exterior fabric, but the lining, the fittings (magnetic snaps, etc ) and the all - important interfacing. Interfacing gives a bag structure and form and a professional finish.

Lovely Tiger Quilted Tote Bag, entirely handmade and unique.
It measures 15" (38cm) wide by 11.5" (29cm) high by 4" (10cm) deep. The handles when in use add an extra 10" (25cm) to the height of the bag.
Fully lined with a useful internal zipped pocket.
I've constructed this bag using a lovely colourful tiger print panel for the front side. I've framed this with matching jade green quilted side panels. For the reverse of this bag I've used a whole piece of pink and black tiger stripe patterned cotton fabric. A layer of soft wadding is sewn behind the main panels, giving the bag a wonderful padded texture. All main panel fabrics are premium 100% cotton.
The bag base, handles and inside top of the bag are all handmade with red linen and I've also quilted the base pieces and edge topstitched the handles.
The bag closes with a rose gold magnetic snap and the lining is cream print with pink spot cotton fabric.
