My wife knits, and I wanted to be able to make her something useful. I ended up making several nostepinne in various woods.

Full description
A beautiful wenge (dark African hardwood) nostepinne for balling yarn.
The wood is a lovely deep brown, with deep black grain throughout.
The nostepinne is approximately 28cm in overall length and 1.75cm in diameter. The handle section is a little over 10cm in length, and the widest part is 2.75cm in diameter.
The wood is sanded, polished and finished with a resin beeswax product, and is lovely and smooth to the touch.
Wood is a natural product, and over time with changes in humidity can warp and in extreme circumstances small cracks can appear. This is a normal part of owning hand turned wooden items.
