I love making bags! I made this bag using the pattern "Buddy Backpack" by Sewing Patterns by MrsH. I attended one of Mrs H's residential bag making courses a couple of years ago and picked up a huge number of skills, all of which were tested in the construction of this complex backpack!

Full description
Handmade pink Liberty Shell Garden print Backpack with multiple pockets and features. It is one of a kind. Zip and flap closure.
It measures 11" (28cm) wide x 13.5" (34cm) high x 5" (12.5cm) deep.
I've teamed the beautiful exterior fabric with a contrasting pink mercerised cotton from the Kona Sheen range for the top flap.
The shoulder/back straps are adjustable for your comfort and there is also a top handle for carrying by hand. There is a hidden pocket underneath the flap and a full width zip with pink and white striped tape. Four bag feet protect the base and there are magnetic snaps at the top of both sides to enable the backpack to expand if required.
The interior lining is a contrasting ivory tone on tone cotton from Liberty's Wiltshire Shadow range. There are multiple internal pockets, including a padded pocket, a zipped pocket, a slip pocket and also a bottle sleeve which enables you to keep a water bottle upright inside the backpack. There is also an attached ribbon with a claw clip that you can use to keep your keys handy and easy to find.
All of the bag fittings - magnetic snaps, strap rings, strap slider adjusters, bag feet, zip pulls, metal zip end and claw clip are gold coloured metal by Emmaline.
