The Green Man or Foliate Head has a rich history in medieval Christian and neo-Pagan symbolism. His leafy demeanour is thought to represent fertility, re-birth, the cycle of life and turning of the seasons.

Full description

An earthenware ceramic hand made and glazed wall-mounted Foliate Head/Greenman Faun.

Ivy Faun is finished with beautiful vibrant, spring green speckly glazed ivy leaves and a matt finish wood effect face and horns. Ivy Faun has a wire hanger on the back which can be removed if you would rather hang it with two screws (holes supplied).

Size is approx. 13cm wide x 16cm long.

I AM AN EARTHENWARE CREATION - that means that although I am beautiful and strong, I should ideally spend my life indoors. I can be put outside during warmer, dry weather but please take me back inside when it gets wet and cold so that the frost and damp don't cause me to crack.
