I was Inspired by pictures from times gone by of traditional May Queens, chosen by their villages to represent the arrival of Spring and to head the May Day celebrations! There is something so beautiful about communities coming together to celebrate the seasons. These little queens make the perfect partners to Jack in the Green, hence being Jill! There is also a little nod to 'Midsommar' too...!

Handmade ceramic wall plaque of May Queen Jill - May Day's very own floral queen of the parade!
Jill is lovingly glazed with a matt finish face and a body of beautiful glossy assorted pastel Spring flowers with a majestic gold crown! A wire hanger is on the back for wall hanging.
I AM AN EARTHENWARE CREATION - that means that although I am beautiful and strong, I should ideally spend my life indoors. I can be put outside during warmer, dry weather but please take me back inside when it gets wet and cold so that the frost and damp don't cause me to crack.
Each Jill is hand made by me and no two are ever exactly the same. Size approx. 15cm.
