Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again. I re-stock slowly but surely, so do keep coming back for a browse.

I bought this lovely 1970s fabric by Textra from my local Oxfam shop. Textra used a lot of new graduates and up and coming designers to work on their fabrics. I wonder who designed this one!

Full description
This practical toiletries or make up bag is upcycled from an original 1970s vintage fabric by Textra. There is a stylised Art Nouveau feel to the design which is printed in a beautiful blue, cream and lilac colourway. Great for taking on holiday, it will carry passports, phones and ear buds or use it to carry your travel toiletries and cosmetics.
A great going away to Uni present, as a present for Mum, or anyone who loves vintage textiles.
The fabric is stitched onto canvas to give it some strength, but it is still a soft little bag.
It is 20 cm across the top, widening to 22 cm width at the bottom. It is 16 cm high.
There is a purple zip opening 20 cm wide with a recycled leather zip pull.
The ends are boxed to make it a little more roomy, and all the better for stashing things in.
There is a practical finger hook to one side, or use it to hang on the wall, as a little art work in its own right!
It is lined with a vintage floral fabric, and finished off with my own embroidered name label.
Please wash on a short cool cycle, and leave to dry naturally.
I like to reuse as much as possible. Your bag will be posted out to you wrapped in clean, reused packaging and sent as RM 2nd class.
