I couldn’t resist this frayed and faded vintage tablecloth. It has such a charming homemade quality to it. The child-like animals are irressistable, and luckily all usable to make into a set of little bags.

Full description
This little make up bag or purse is made from a reclaimed vintage tablecloth edged with charming pets and zoo animals. All are hand embroidered in a simple cross stitch in a folk art style, possibly by a child. Along the bottom and up one side is a kitten, a little dog, a deer and a giraffe. Simply worked, these animals have a child like appeal. The fabric has a homespun quality to it, its open weave being perfect for beginners embroidery.
Little zip up bags are so useful for coins, make up or headphones. This one would make a lovely present for someone learning to embroider, a vintage textile lover or for a mum to be!
The bag is backed onto cotton to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag
It measures 17 cm by 12 cm with a red 17 cm zip
It is lined with a vintage cotton, printed with tiny flowers. The back is a fine blue needlecord.
There is a small hook so you can display and admire this little handmade embroidery
Please wash by hand or on a gentle wash, and leave to dry naturally.
