This practical handbag or shoulder bag is in great condition. However, it is the end of a range of items I made in this fabric, and so it is going into The perfectly imperfect weekend.
This luxurious textile is a beautiful designer remnant I bought from a seasonal sale in a re-upholstery shop. It has the feel and look of cut back velvet with its silver and grey shimmer, and reminds me of sumptuous costumes! I have made it into a practical shoulder bag or handbag. It has two straps, as well as an internal pocket for the flotsam and jetsom of your life, and fits neatly under your arm. Large enough to carry all your essentials with style, this shoulder bag closes with a satisfying chunky zip.
The fabric is first stitched onto canvas to give it some body, but it is still a soft little bag.
It measures 26 cm along the top, widening to 29 cm along the base.
The height is 22 cm and the base is boxed to make it more roomy.
There is a dark grey chunky zip opening of 26 cm.
The two shoulder straps measure 70 cm each.
There is an internal pocket measuring 12 cm by 14 cm, so you need never rummage for your keys again.
The bag is lined with a complementary dark teal silky fabric, and it is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Please spot clean carefully, or dry clean. Unknown, man made fibres.
I like to reuse as much as possible. Your bag will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging, and posted out as 2nd class Royal Mail.
