Turned from a piece of rowan that I picked up whilst tidying up a neighbour's garden this piece really took on a shape of it's own during the drying process. I think the bark inclusion probably stopped it from cracking so the wood formed a nice undulating rim - nature will always form better curves when left to it's own devices!

Full description
This Rowan bowl was turned green then left to dry and settle into its own shape which is oval with an undulating lip. It has an attractive bark inclusion that has been stabilised and quite a high, narrow foot which elevates the main bowl slightly. Finished with hard wax oil. Size: H 7cm W 22cm.
