This bowl comes from a rowan tree that fell during the winter storms a few miles down the coast in Roshven. As I often find with rowan the tree had started to rot from the inside leaving only a small section that was useable but part of the rotting process includes the fungi that create the amazing spalting pattern. Beauty coming from decay!

Spalted Rowan bowl with beautiful mix of colours and grain pattern and a small void on the rim. Finished with danish oil and wax. Size H 6cm W 16cm.
