I love making tote bags! For me, they provide the perfect opportunity to utilise patchwork and bag making techniques to create a bag that is unique.

Full description
Squirrel panel quilted tote bag with a lovely printed squirrel illustration on the front panel and a patterned back panel. I've fully lined this bag with a yellow cotton fabric and have added a useful internal zipped pocket.
This bag measures 11.5" (29cm) high plus the length of the handles, which are 10" (25.5cm) high. It is 15" (38cm) wide and 4.5" (11.5cm) deep.
The colourful front panel is printed with a squirrel and countryside design in shades of grey, blue, green, purple, yellow and white. I've added a patterned grey and yellow panel on both sides and used this same fabric for the back panel of the bag. A layer of soft cotton wadding is sewn into the bag and this provides a lovely soft texture. All fabrics are 100% cotton.
For the base, top of the lining and the handles I've used a natural linen and have added quilted lines and topstitching for added texture and interest. I've also made "box" corners so that the bag will stand up on its' own.
Inside the bag you'll find a bright yellow cotton lining with a zipped pocket and a gold coloured magnetic snap to close the top of the bag.
This bag is truly unique, one of a kind! There is only one available.
