I’m a needle felted and I had to learn how to wet felt to complete a project. Then the next step was to make a rug from a whole sheared raw fleece. It so rewarding to make a useful item from the raw fleece.

Full description
This is a small but delightful handmade fleece rug. Using a sheared fleece to which I added a wet felted wool backing. This makes the fleece useable and hard wearing.
The fleece has gorgeous very tight curls which shine in the light. It is only a small fleece measuring 30” x24” (71 x 61cms) at its longest and widest.
The rug is very soft and it’s shape would make it ideal for a bedroom rug.
