After learning to wet felt I progressed to making a useful rug from a sheared raw fleece. Wool is such a versatile medium to work with.

Full description
This beautiful handmade rug is made using a sheared Icelandic sheep’s fleece. To this fleece I add a wool backing using a wet felting method. This makes the fleece useable and hard wearing.
This gorgeous fleece has beautiful tones of browns and greys throughout. It measures 34” x 28” (86 x 71cms). The locks have been left natural to show the lovely textures.
