I started needle felting but then had to learn how to wet felt to complete a project. From that I learnt to wet felt and rug into existence. Just love that I can make the rug useable from a raw fleece and that the sheep gets to keep its skin.

Full description
This gorgeous rug is handmade from a sheared Icelandic sheep’s fleece. I have then added a wool backing by wet felting to the fleece to make it useable and hard wearing.
This is a very soft and flexible fleece and would work well as a throw or a rug. It measures 40” x 24” (102 x 61cms)
