Having started needle felting I needed to make a piece of felt for one of my witches. I learned to wet felt and that led to making the rugs from complete sheared fleeces. I just love working with wool in all its forms.

Full description
This is a sheepskin rug with no skin! Handmade from a sheep’s sheared fleece to which I have added a wet felted wool backing. This makes the fleece useable and just as hard wearing.
This rug is a very dark brown Hebridean fleece with a dark brown wool backing. It measures 51” x 28” (130 x 70cms) It is soft and pliable and would work well as a throw or at the end of a bed.
