Full description
This handmade tiara headband, which can also be worn as a necklace, is made with soft pink pearls and crystal-cut rose quartz, set with an arrangement of white and purple glass seed beads. To be worn as a tiara, hair grips can be used to secure the ends in place. An extension chain and lobster clasp is also provided, which allows the jewellery to alternatively be worn as a choker-style necklace.

Quartz, in general, has a long history of use in talismans and jewellery, with examples dating back to 75,000 BCE. Fascinatingly, Roman ladies often carried quartz balls to cool their hands on hot days. Beaded jewellery and the use of diverse beads made of glass can also be traced back to the Ancient World. The very earliest remains of a thriving glass works industry dates back to 1365 BCE. Egypt.
