I am continuously delighted and amazed by the jewellery of ancient civilisations. Archaeological discoveries and the artifacts displayed in museums around the world are my source of inspiration as a designer and maker. My passion is also connected with a love of gemstone and bead collecting during my travels, especially to New Zealand, Crete, and southern Spain. Ultimately my jewellery is an expression of timeless beauty and of adventure.

Full description
These earrings are made from some of the earth's more precious treasures: they are made from a stack of four pieces of raw greenstone (jade), which sit atop a stack of two black pearls. The greenstone and the smaller of the two black pearls were brought back to the UK from New Zealand after my travels there.

Greenstone, or jade, jewellery has an extraordinary long and broad history. Personal ornaments made of jade date as far back as Neolithic China, and it was also favoured as a material for jewellery making by ancient civilizations in Central and South America, such as the Mayans.
