Welcome to my shop: Jewels of Ancient Worlds!
I am continuously delighted and amazed by the jewellery of ancient civilisations. Archaeological discoveries and the artifacts displayed in museums around the world are my source of inspiration as a designer. My passion is also connected with a love of gemstone and bead collecting during my travels. Ultimately my jewellery is an expression of timeless beauty and of adventure.
Safety information
Materials used are: pearls, amethyst, glass, 925 solid sterling silver craft wire. The craft beading wire used to hold the beads is made of steel, and there are two steel crimps.

Amethyst has been used in jewellery for thousands of years, for instance, the Ancient Egyptians carved amethyst into the shapes of animals, possibly as protective amulets, as early as the Middle Kingdom period, around 1981-1802 BCE. Beaded jewellery and the use of diverse beads made of glass can also be traced back to the Ancient World. The very earliest remains of a thriving glass works industry dates back to 1365 BCE. Egypt. Evidence of silver jewellery reaches back to the very dawn of history. Silver was used as a currency in Mesopotamia; it was hammered, moulded, decorated, and worn the form of rings or bracelets.
