I am continuously delighted and amazed by the jewellery of ancient civilisations. Archaeological discoveries and the artifacts displayed in museums around the world are my source of inspiration as a designer and maker. My passion is also connected with a love of gemstone and bead collecting during my travels, especially to New Zealand, Crete, and southern Spain. Ultimately my jewellery is an expression of timeless beauty and of adventure.

Full description
These earrings are made from some of the earth's more precious treasures. They are made from two forms of cream-coloured pearl: a seed pearl, and a larger teardrop-shaped pearl, which encase a polished carnelian stone, which I acquired during my visit to the incredible island of Crete.

Carnelians were used abundantly in jewellery from the ancient world. Most notably, it can be found in the jewellery and seal stones made by the Bronze Age Minoans of ancient Crete.
