Safety information
WARNING: Do not use quilts as bedding for babies under 12 months due to overheating risks. WARNING: rag rug style quilts will shed tiny threads through normal use and washing, this is normal and will settle. However, it is not recommended this style of quilt are used by children under the age of 3 years, who may chew on the fringing and bite small parts off. For any age, the quilt should be periodically checked to ensure no small parts are becoming loose.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
Let me make one of my handmade rag patchwork quilts especially for your child. These super soft quilts, with their raggedy fringing, are ideal for decorating a bed or for cuddling up on the sofa for story time.
Made to order - I will design and sew a lovely modern style quilt in fabrics of your choice - this will be an unique to you, one-off design, Examples made for other customers are shown in the photos.
Beautifully made - each patchwork piece is quilted with soft wadding and co-ordinating backing fabrics, before being securely machined together. I can hand embroider a name or add applique motifs Then the exposed seams are carefully snipped and ruffled to created the ragged look, with the outer edge neatly hand finished with a traditional double fold technique for long lasting strength.
After ordering, I will link with you by email to discuss the theme and colours in more detail, and to send you some mock-ups of my intended design for your approval. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to make the quilt once we have agreed the design. I will send an update when it is completed and shipped. Cancellations can be made for a full refund at any stage.
Rag rugs are suitable for children over the age of 3 - please see product safety warnings below.

small - 90 by 90 cm or 36 by 36 inches
medium - approx 100 by 120cm or 39 by 48 inches
Care: Can be machine washed and gently tumble dried.
