This unusual print caught my eye at the charity shop. If you half close your eyes, and from a distance, I love the way it looks a little like crewel work embroidery! Perfect for a useful fold up shopping bag.

Full description
A tote bag or book bag upcycled from a fabulous designer textile remnant, with its own fold up pouch. It is illustrated with birds, flowers and trees, and has a beautiful muted colour palette of teal, maroon, gold and ivory. Strong colours for a bold print. From a distance, it almost gives the impression of being embroidery or crewel work.
I have used it to make a simple but sturdy unlined tote or shopping bag which could also be useful as a book bag. It has a small inside pocket for your phone and keys, and will fold up into its own little pouch, ready for all those unexpected buys when you want to avoid plastic bags. It would make a great Birthday present for a bird lover.
The bag measures 32 cm across the front and is 36 cm long. It is sewn with strong French seams.
There is a pair of handles each 64 cm long, and the bottom is boxed to make it a little more roomy.
The bag folds up to fit inside its own matching pouch measuring 15 cm across and 20 cm long.
The inside pocket is 14 cm by 12 cm edged with green binding, and finished off with my own embroidered name tag.

Please wash on a short, cool cycle, and hang up to dry on a line or clothes rack.
Your bag will arrive wrapped in clean, reused packaging and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
