The inspiration behind this kit is the snippet of vintage tapestry style fabric - the texture and colours are so rich. I think it goes beautifully with the scraps of vintage velvet curtains and the more subdued cotton prints, as well as the brocades and trims.

Full description
A stunning collection of material and trims in rich colours and textures inspired by a fragment of tapestry style fabric. Perfect for winter themed projects, this kit is ideal for those new to the art of slow stitching, as well as those looking to build their collection of beautiful textile scraps. A lovely gift for a crafty friend - I can post direct and the box fits through a letterbox- or buy one for yourself and create something beautiful.
Available in two sizes.
In each box you will find an Introduction to slow stitching and stitch guide, a piece of firm calico fabric as a foundation for stitching onto, and lots of small snippets of vintage or salvaged fabric and haberdashery trims. There is also co-ordinating embroidery threads, and a sewing needle and pins.
The larger box has a second foundation piece of soft wool tweed, and extra fabrics and trims that co-ordinate with those in the photos.
The fabrics and trims are all carefully selected from my own collection or sourced from local vintage shops and individual sellers, and include.
