Hi, I'm The Old Button - welcome to my shop and I hope you find lovely things that you would like to buy.
I post every day, using Royal Mail First Class for cards, and Track 24 for all other items, and I can post directly to the recipient - see my Upgrades listings. Dispatch times are currently 1-3 days for most of my makes, with a few taking longer as indicated in the item details.
In the busy run up to Christmas, I'm no longer taking commissions for my embroidered play scenes and my patchwork quilts, but I have gift voucher options. The last day for ordering my custom hand embroidered Christmas stockings and Child's Drawing Pictures is Monday 9th December. For all other items I will be open right up until Christmas week.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

In their original box, these balls of vintage Chain Mercer thread by Coats are a size 20 - commonly used for thread crochet as well as lace knitting and tatting. But they can be used in many more crafts, including needlepoint, cross-stitch and hand quilting - as well as weaving, mini amigurumi and decorative textile art.
A mercerised cotton thread, each ball weighs 10g each and dyed to shade 610, which I think is Ecru (it looks a natural beige colour). I believe they are the same dye lot - the leafet in the box says C388.
From my own craft supply collection that I am downsizing. I originally bought this thread from local lady who was no longer able to make her beloved hand-crocheted lace doilies and tablecloths as her eyesight was fading, and she was hoping they would be of use to someone else. I had intended to use them myself, but my crochet skills are not up to using this fine a thread. I have kept a few loose balls for slow-stitching and hand quilting, and am selling on the full box.
The balls of thread are in their original cardboard box with a protective inner layer of tissue, that has kept them in pristine condition away from dust and sunlight. The box is a little scuffed and marked in places, which is typical of vintage haberdashery items. After you have used the thread, it would be useful storage in your craft room, or could be upcycled into another project.
