Hi, I'm The Old Button - welcome to my shop and I hope you find lovely things that you would like to buy.
I post every day, using Royal Mail First Class for cards, and Track 24 for all other items, and I can post directly to the recipient - see my Upgrades listings. Dispatch times are currently 1-3 days for most of my makes, with a few taking longer as indicated in the item details.
In the busy run up to Christmas, I'm no longer taking commissions for my embroidered play scenes and my patchwork quilts, but I have gift voucher options. The last day for ordering my custom hand embroidered Christmas stockings and Child's Drawing Pictures is Monday 9th December. For all other items I will be open right up until Christmas week.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
A fairy with wings or a rainbow princess? Rapanzel. Or Hansel and Gretel? The choice is yours. My felt dolls are customised to your child's favourite fairy story, and are embellished with machine and hand embroidery. I can do different skin and hair tones, and any gender, so don't be constrained by traditional ideas.
Approximate 4 inches tall.
Designed to be used in any make-believe or story telling play activity, the doll also works well with my travel and table playscenes - see my other listings. The fairy in the photos made to go with a custom playmat in a Fairy Woodland theme.
The body of the doll is made from two layers of wool felt sewn together for strength, and "dressed" in lovely outfit to suit the character, with lots of hand and machine embroidery detail.
As well as a fixed sewn outfit, there is a removeable option, so Cinderella could be in rags, with a separate ball gown that attaches with velcro. There is also a double option that comes with two attachable outfits, so Peter Pan could become Thumbelina. The fairy in the photos is a double.
Please note dolls are based my own designs - I cannot copy characters from films or cartoons.
Each is individually made to order and take up to 3 weeks at busy times. I'll link with you by email to share design drafts, and you can cancel at any stage for a full refund.
Care: Sponge clean or gentle hand washing. Natural flat drying.
My dolls are tested to EN71 standards and are UKCA CE marked.
