My collection started as a child with an old button box and some vintage embroidery threads given to me by my late grandmother. Over the years I have collected many vintage and retro items (note I only cut into pieces that are too damaged or marked to be used in their original form) as well as a whole sewing room full of bits and pieces.
I decided I would use some of this collection to create curated boxes for the newly re-discovered art of slow stitching. Get yourself a cup of tea, and relax with a needle and thread.

Mis-matched slow sewing kits - these lovely bundles of fabrics and trims have been put together using bits and pieces left over from my more specific vintage theme curated kits.
Perfectly imperfect - these are the same quality and standard as my Vintage Pink, Vintage Blue and Vintage White Linen boxes (as shown in the photos) but they are a mix from each theme.
Each mis-match box will be different, but they will all be stuffed to the brim with beautiful vintage, pre-loved or salvaged textiles and haberdashery including:
- fragments of antique quilts and wool blankets, table cloths and crochet lace doilies, cotton teatowels or linen sheets, christening gowns or pinnies,
- offcuts and scraps of cotton quilting fabrics, curtains and summer dresses,
- snippets of trims and embellishments, including hand dyed wool, linen thread and fluffy yarns, ribbons, lace and motifs,
- and of course, some old buttons.
Your box also includes a calico foundation piece to sew things onto, 4 colours of embroidery threads, a needle and a few pins, and my guide to slow stitching.
