My collection started as a child with an old button box and some vintage embroidery threads given to me by my late grandmother. Over the years I have collected many vintage and retro items (note I only cut into pieces that are too damaged or marked to be used in their original form) as well as a whole sewing room full of bits and pieces.
I decided I would use some of this collection to create curated boxes for the newly re-discovered art of slow stitching. Get yourself a cup of tea, and relax with a needle and thread.

Full description
Perfect for slow stitching projects, junk journaling and textile arts, this gorgeous mix of vintage and reclaimed fabrics and trims has loads of texture and visual appeal. Presented in a handy cardboard storage boxes in two sizes, each is carefully curated to complement the rose pink and green Laura Ashley florals.
Sourced from my own fabric collection, local vintage shops and individual sellers, there are fragments of an antique Welsh wool blanket and a handstitched quilt, together with pieces of a cotton christening dress, lace tablecloths and more floral prints. I have also added ribbons, yarns, lace, and of course, some buttons.
The starter kit is ideal for beginners, the larger box has the same items but in bigger pieces and some more extras. Each box has a foundation fabric of firm calico, embroidery threads and a needle and pins. Plus my introduction to slow stitching leaflet.
There may be some discolouration or rips due to age but this doesn't detract from their beauty.
