This pretty pendant is inspired by the winter solstice, but looks lovely worn at any time of year. The disc represents the sun, and the mottled texture, which has been applied by hand, is inspired by the thick hoar frosts of midwinter.

Full description
This little disc pendant has been hand-pierced from 100% recycled sterling silver sheet before being textured all over to give it a lovely frosty appearance. A little ring has been soldered on to the top, through which a sterling silver jump ring is passed so that it hangs nicely. The pendant has been filed, sanded and polished by hand before being given a final polish with a brass brush to give it a lovely glistening glow.
Disc diameter - 14mm in diameter
The silver I use is produced from 100% recycled scrap silver obtained from the jewellery trade and IT and medical sectors. It is an excellent choice for the eco conscious as it avoids unnecessary mining.
Chain - recycled sterling silver belcher chain - choice of two lengths. Please select your preference using the orange "choose options" button at the top of the page.
The pendant comes beautifully packaged (ready to give as a gift or to enjoy yourself!) in a little branded gift box and environmentally friendly packaging.
