I love these home made unsophisticated embroideries. So many people have them in a bottom drawer somewhere, and its lovely to give them a practical use once again. I have managed to make a little collection from this piece of linen.

Full description
A sweet make up bag or purse upcycled from a vintage tablecloth. Although it had seen better days, this vintage linen had enough good fabric to make up into 3 useful little bags, all embroidered with a rose and a border of flowers. I like its hand made and domesticated feel from a bygone age. It would make a lovely gift for a bridesmaid, or as a birthday present for someone who loves old textiles.
The bag has been backed onto cotton, but is still a soft little bag.
It measures approx 16 cm by 16 cm with a navy zip opening.
The front has a central rose and a border of flowers, and the back has 3 small daisies and 2 buttons decoration. The linen has a slub and roughness to the surface weave.
It is lined in a vibrant vintage cotton, and is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
There is a practical hook, or use it to hang up as a little piece of artwork in its own right.
Please note the embroidery placement will vary from bag to bag, as each embroidered section varies slightly in the order of the colours.
Please wash on a cool short cycle, and leave to dry naturally.
Your order will be posted out in clean, recycled packaging and sent as RM 2nd class.
