Amethyst (purple quartz) is the birthstone for Aquarius and February, and the stone for the 6th and 17th wedding anniversaries.
Amethyst is thought to bring inner peace and tranquility, and promote emotional stability.
Amethyst is also associated with St Valentine.
It was believed he wore an amethyst ring engraved with a cupid to enable young soldiers to recognise him.
Emperor Claudius 11, believing married men made bad soldiers, had forbidden soldiers to wed, but Valentine would conduct secret marriage ceremonies.
The Emperor had him beheaded circa A.D. 270.

Pretty light purple bracelet made from rough cut nuggets of Lilac Amethyst and tiny gold vermeil beads.
The Amethyst nuggets are translucent, polished, flat ovals with some imperfections and darker inclusions.
They are approximately 7-9mm in length, and are separated by 2mm gold vermeil beads and one 3mm gold vermeil stardust rondelle.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18k gold.
This pretty bracelet measures approximately 6.5 inches (16.5cm) - perfect for a 6 inch (15.25cm) wrist.
Your bracelet will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
