Tote bag with folk art style birds. This unusual tote bag is made from leaf-patterned fabric with three appliqué and hand-embroidered birds. The fabric is a lovely cream linen-look fabric with a woven leafy pattern in shades of zesty green. The folk art style birds are made from print fabric, and each has a felt wing. One is yellow and orange, one is yellow-orange and ginger, and one coral pink and magenta. On each of the felt wings, I’ve hand-embroidered patterns in a variety of stitches, to give the birds a folk art look. Their beaks are hand-embroidered, and I’ve given them black sequin eyes. The bag is lined with gold satin-look fabric.
This tote bag is perfect for use as a handbag, shopping bag, or occasional bag. With its lovely leafy fabric and beautiful folk art birds, it would make a lovely gift.
The approximate measurements of the tote bag are:
14 inches (35cm) high x 12.5 inches (32cm) wide x 3 inches (8cm) across the base. The handles are approx. 24 inches (60cm) from end to end, and are of a length that can be worn on the shoulder or carried as a handbag.
