Full description
An unusual Russian dolls gift set consisting of a toiletry bag, make up bag and purse. Each bag features a traditional Matryoshka doll appliqué, and the bags stack inside each other like Russian dolls. The bags are made from sturdy turquoise fabric and have turquoise zips with ribbon zip tabs. The Russian dolls are made from two co-ordinating yellow fabrics with floral patterns. Their hair is made from brown floral fabric. They have black sequin eyes with embroidered eyelashes, and I've used free-motion embroidery for their lips and rosy cheeks. The largest doll has a wooden yellow flower button in her hair and a yellow ribbon bow on her shawl. The bags have turquoise water-resistant linings.
These stacking Russian doll bags are decorative as well as practical. I loved the idea of opening a Russian doll toiletry bag to find a make up bag inside with a purse inside that. The set would make a lovely and unusual gift, particularly for anyone who loves Matryoshka dolls.
Each bag or purse is spacious and has a boxed base to give plenty of storage room inside. The approximate measurements are:
Toiletry bag: 12 inches (30cm) wide, 9 inches (23cm) high, 4 inches (10cm) across the base
Make up bag: 9.5 inches (24cm) wide x 6 inches (15cm) high x 2 inches (5cm) across the base
Coin purse: 6.5 inches (16.5cm) wide x 4.5 inches (12cm) high x 1 inch (2.5cm) across the base
