This vintage table cloth with its uplifting flowers, was another fantastic donation. Even though it had seen better days, there were enough corners intact to make into pretty bucket bags.

Full description
This pretty bucket bag was once a vintage table cloth. Hand embroidered with bright flowers, it had seen one too many tea parties. However, the corners were in good enough condition to make a pair of lovely bucket bags. The front has some beautiful flowers sweeping over the surface, and the back is plain linen with one embroidered and one appliqued rose in the corner. The two handles are long enough to fit snuggly around your hands, and although it is dinky, it will hold hold your essentials at a wedding or garden party. It has a decorative covered button and loop fastening, and a magnetic snap closure. It is like a pocket, but with its own handles! A great little wedding handbag, or as a treat for yourself.
The linen has been stitched onto canvas to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag. It has a pair of handles, each 30 cm long.
It measures approx 24 cm by 24 cm with boxed in ends to make it a little more roomy.
It is lined with a vintage blue floral cotton, and has an embroidered facing for a neat finish.
It fastens with a magnetic clasp, as well as with a decorative covered button and loop closure, and is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
The back is plain linen, with two embroidered roses. One is appliqued on.
Please hand wash or use a short delicate machine wash, and leave to dry naturally.
I like to reuse. Your bag will be posted out in clean, recycled wrapping from my hoard, and posted out as Royal Mail 2nd class.
