I love to find illustrations done in embroidery, especially these blue and white willow patterns. They are unusual and joyous. This vintage table cloth was another fantastic donation. Even tho it had seen better days, there was enough corners intact to make a pair of matching bucket bags.

Full description
This lovely blue and white willow pattern was once a vintage embroidered table cloth. It had had a hard life, but there was enough left in good condition to make two small Chinese style bucket bags. This one has a temple and trees on the front in true blue and white willow pattern style, with two sweeping birds in the corner. On the back is a fishing boat. Its two handles are long enough to fit snuggly around your hands, and although it is dinky, it is just large enough to hold your essentials at a wedding or garden party. These small hand bags have a decorative button and loop fastening, as well as a magnetic snap on the inside facing, and are like having an additional pocket, but with its own handles! Great little Springtime handbags, or as a treat for yourself.
The linen has been stitched onto canvas to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag. It has a pair of handles, each 30 cm long.
It measures approx 24 cm by 24 cm with boxed in ends to make it a little more roomy.
It is lined with a vintage inspired gold and blue fabric, and has an inside facing for a neat finish.
It fastens with a magnetic clasp, as well as with a decorative vintage pearl button and loop closure. It is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Please hand wash or use a short delicate machine wash, and leave to dry naturally.
I like to reuse. Your bag will be posted out in clean recycled packaging from my hoard.
