Iolite is the gemstone name for the mineral Cordierite.
The name comes from the Greek 'ios' meaning violet, and the colour is similar to the more expensive stone Tanzanite.
It is sometimes referred to as 'water Sapphire', although it bears no mineral relationship to Sapphire.
It is often used as a more affordable substitute for Tanzanite, and as such comes under the birthstone list for December and Sagittarius.
It is believed to bring clarity by balancing emotional and rational thought, and to enhance intuition and communication.

Dainty stretch bracelet made from 4mm polished and frosted light grey Agate beads interspersed with 3.5mm Iolite rondelles and 2.5mm gold vermeil rounds.
The Iolite rondelles are roughly faceted, translucent and a light violet colour.
This pretty bracelet measures approximately 7 inches (17.5cm).
Your bracelet will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
