I have used two different types of Pearl bead to make this earrings.
Potato Pearls are not-quite-round, and have surface irregularities. These ones have a silver-grey main colour, with overtones of iridescent "peacock" colours - hints of green, blue and pink-purple.
Shell Pearls are man-made using nacre, the same material that makes natural pearls, and are considered the best replicas you can get. The smaller ones used here are a silver-grey colour, the larger a dusty lavender, both with a lovely sheen.
Pearls are thought to be a calming gem, and have long been associated with integrity, purity, loyalty and faith.
Pearl is the traditional birthstone for June and Gemini, the stone for the 30th wedding anniversary, and has been associated with love and marriage for thousands of years.

Graduated pearl drop earrings on sterling silver fishhook wires - a timeless classic.
Each earring is made from a 7m freshwater, silver-grey, peacock potato Pearl, 6mm lavender shell Pearl, 5mm Swarovski crystal, 4mm freshwater, silver-grey, peacock potato pearl and a 3.5mm silver-grey shell Pearl.
The pearls are threaded on to sterling silver wire pins and attached to sterling silver ear-wires that are stamped '925'.
The pearls have a gorgeous iridescence and delicate colours, and the Swarovski crystal adds a hint of sparkle without detracting from the elegance.
These lovely earrings measure approximately 1.25 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
