Its lovely to extend the life of old table linens like this, and make them into something pretty once again. There is often a tiny piece intact, and just the right size for a little vintage lavender bag.

Full description
This linen lavender bag is made from the corner of an old embroidered napkin. The front is stitched with a swan and two signets under a spray of flowers. They glide along with a nostalgic charm of their own. Inside, is a little muslin bag of lavender from Terrington, North Yorkshire. Pop it in a drawer or over a hanger to keep your clothes smelling sweet, or to deter those pesky moths, or leave under your pillow to encourage a healthy nights sleep. This little lavender sachet would make a lovely house warming present, a gift for a bird lover, or as a present for Mum.
The lavender bag is 9 cm by 9 cm and inside is nestling a muslin bag of dried lavender .
The front has an embroidered swan, and the back is plain linen.
There is a hook for clothes hangers, or to hang it up as a tiny illustration in its own right.
It is finished with my own embroidered name tag.
The pattern placement may vary a little from bag to bag
I like to reuse. Your lavender bag will be posted out wrapped in clean, recycled wrapping from my hoard, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
