November Birthstones - Topaz, Citrine
December Birthstones - Turquoise, Zircon, Tanzanite
***** DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT MY SALE! *****
The beads I have used for these earrings are made from reconstituted turquoise, which gives the look of natural turquoise without the fancy price tag.
About 4000 years ago Ancient Egyptians made a form of reconstituted turquoise. It differed from todays product as they didn't actually use turquoise. They used crushed quartz which was then dyed, glazed and heated.
Today, as Turquoise is a fairly soft stone, it is easy to grind it to a powder, add resins and dye and form into blocks. These blocks are then made into beads.
Turquoise is associated with health, good fortune and protection from evil.
The Apache tribes believed that Turquoise attached to their bows would increase a warriors hunting skill and accuracy.
Turquoise is the birthstone for December and Sagittarius.

Each of these striking earrings features a 14mm reconstituted Turquoise coin, topped with a 7mm Tibetan gold star, 6mm reconstituted Turquoise rondelle, 4mm gold Hematite and 3.5mm reconstituted Turquoise round.
The Tibetan stars have an antique gold finish and are nickel and lead free.
The beads are hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with gold, and the wires are stamped '925'.
These drop earrings measure approximately 1.5 inches (4cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within the UK.
