Natural Citrine nuggets threaded on gold vermeil pins and hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with gold, and the wires are stamped '925'.
Citrine is the yellow form of Quartz, and gets its colour from traces of iron in the Quartz.
Natural Citrine is usually a pale lemon colour - deeper yellow and orange-yellow stones are generally produced by heat-treating Amethyst.
These un-treated stones have a pale, delicate, lemon colour with excellent, almost luminous clarity.
The nuggets vary in size - the smallest ones have an approximate length of 5mm, the largest 10mm.
