Jasper is an opaque form of Quartz, and red Jasper gets its colour from iron oxide.
Native Americans believed that red Jasper was the blood of Mother Earth and Viking warriors believed it brought courage and staunched wounds.
Both red Jasper and Carnelian, along with Ruby, are linked to the Zodiac sign of Cancer and the month of July.
In fact it is thought that the 'ruby' stones mentioned in the bible may have been red Jasper, based on the stones that were known and used at the time.

Delicate stretch bracelet in russet-red tones brightened with glints of cream and gold.
This pretty bracelet is a mix of 4mm beads, mainly red Jasper and Carnelian, dotted with creamy Mother-of-Pearl, ivory Czech glass pearls and golden Hematite.
The bracelet measures approximately 7 inches (17.5cm).
Presented in a small organza gift bag.
