A friend gave me this sweet, unsophisticated vintage table cloth, and I have managed to make a set of little bags from the undamaged pieces. Anyone who knows me also knows that I have a sweet spot of these ladies, doing the gardening in their finest.

Full description
This little storage bag is perfect for cosmetics or for storing jewellery. I have made it from one of the corners of a vintage tablecloth which had seen better days. The front illustration is the classic victorian lady gardening in full crinoline and corset! and there is a charming homemade feel to this little embroidery.The back features a simple applique with unfinished frayed edges, and there are 3 decorative buttons on the front as well as a little flower head zip pull. I have added a finger hook so you can hang up this little bag as a piece of art work in its own right. This sweet period piece would make a lovely present for someone learning to embroider, anyone who loves vintage textiles, or as a wedding present.
The embroidery has been backed onto cotton to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag.
The back is made from the same linen, with a small raw edged applique in one corner. The lining is a vintage patterned cotton.
The pink zip is 16 cm long, and has a flower head pull.
It measures 16 cm by 16 cm square, and there is a finger hook to the RHS corner.
It is finished off with my own embroidered label.
Your bag can be washed on a short, cool cycle, and left to dry naturally.
It will be wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and sent as RM 2nd class.
