This little moth pendant is inspired by the Scarlet Tiger Moths that appear in our garden each summer, at around the time of the summer solstice.
All my jewellery is made by hand using traditional silversmithing techniques.

Midsummer moth recycled silver pendant with 24 inch chain
Each of my moths is drawn by hand before being cut out from Eco Silver sheet using a jeweller's saw. This one also has a little heart cut-out. The silver has been given a mottled texture with a hammer, to represent the markings on a moth's wings. Little embellishments made from Eco Silver wire and melted scrap silver have been soldered on as decorative elements.
The pendant has been finished by hand with a brass brush to give it a lovely soft glow rather than a highly polished shine.
Your moth will be made to order, so there may be very slight differences from the one in the picture.
Moth - approx 25mm high (to top of antennae), 20mm wide (at widest point)
Chain - 24 inch Italian sterling silver trace chain (stamped 925)
Eco Silver - Eco Silver is produced from 100% recycled scrap silver obtained from the jewellery trade and IT and medical sectors. It is an excellent choice for the eco conscious as it avoids unnecessary mining.
Your pendant will be sent by first class post in a little dark grey Kraft gift box made from 100% recycled fibres on a bed of 100% Eco Fibre filling wrapped in a band of linen - ready to receive yourself or give as a gift.
