This pretty pendant is inspired by the Scarlet Tiger Moths that appear in our garden each summer, just around the time of the summer solstice. Scarlet Tiger Moths are daytime flying moths and I associate them with long summer days.
My jewellery aims to capture special seasonal moments such as these. All my designs is made by hand using traditional silversmithing techniques.

Full description
Each of my moths is drawn by hand before being cut out from Eco Silver sheet using a jeweller's saw. The silver is textured all over using a hammer, and I solder on the little embellishments which are made from Eco Silver wire and melted scrap silver.
The pendant has been finished by hand with a brass brush to give it a lovely soft glow rather than a highly polished shine.
Your moth will be made to order so there may be some very slight differences to the one pictured.
Moth - approx 19mm high, 25mm wide (across widest point)
Chain - 18 inch Italian sterling silver trace chain (stamped 925)
Eco Silver - Eco Silver is produced from 100% recycled scrap silver obtained from the jewellery trade and IT and medical sectors. It is an excellent choice for the eco conscious as it avoids unnecessary mining.
Your pendant will be presented in a little grey gift box made from 100% recycled fibres on a bed of 100% Eco Fibre filling, wrapped in a band of plant dyed raw organic muslin ribbon produced by fellow Folksy seller Earthed.
