This pendant is inspired by my treasured copy of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, particularly the first verse which has always been my favourite.

Full description
A little sterling silver crescent moon is enclosed in a pebble shaped silver frame.
The moon has been hand cut using a jeweller's saw then given an embossed finish which has been created by hammering the silver on to a design which I have made from watercolour paper. This gives a lovely dimpled background texture.
The frame is formed by shaping silver wire by hand, and has been gently hammered so that it catches the light.
The whole piece has been hand polished to give the silver a subtle glow.
Pendant size - approximately 23 x 18 mm at its widest/tallest points (not including the little ring soldered to top of the frame).
Chain - 18 inch Italian medium belcher chain (stamped 925)
Eco Silver - Eco Silver is produced from 100% recycled scrap silver obtained from the jewellery trade and IT and medical sectors. It is an excellent choice for the eco conscious as it avoids unnecessary mining.
All my jewellery is made by hand using traditional silversmithing techniques.
Your pendant will be sent by first class post in a little dark grey Kraft gift box made from 100% recycled fibres on a bed of 100% Eco Fibre filling wrapped in a band of plant dyed organic muslin hand dyed by fellow Folksy seller Earthed.
